Bourbon Barrel Aged Imperial Stout with Bananas, Cacao Nibs, Walnuts, Madagascar Vanilla, and Milk Sugar
This blended stout is made from a bourbon barrel aged beer loaded with cacao nibs specifically chosen for this project by the chocolate experts at Pierre's Chocolates (New Hope, PA), as well as a barrel holding Madagascar vanilla beans, a portion of a barrel aging on in-house toasted walnuts, plus of course the base beer, then later accompanied by stout fermented with loads of banana in one of our mini tanks.
Though a mouthful, this beer presents nuanced characteristics of each component that so perfectly complement one another in the final product.
Notes of chocolate covered bananas, a split without all the unnecessary stuff, and sugar coated roasted nuts.
